103 Police Officers complete Intensive SWAT Training in PRO6

A total of 103 police officers proudly graduated from the rigorous Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) training conducted by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).

The closing ceremony was held on November 22, 2024 at the PRO-6 Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B. Delgado in Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City, marking a significant milestone for these officers, who are now equipped with advanced tactical skills.

The said training had started in the third week of August 2024 at Camp Serudo, Barangay Jalandoni in Sara, Iloilo. For three months, the participants had undergone a demanding program that included close quarter battle techniques, crisis response scenarios, marksmanship, and other competencies vital for SWAT operations. The rigorous process was designed to hone their physical and mental fortitude, ensuring readiness for high-pressure situations.

Police Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, PRO6 Regional Director, had extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, commending their resilience and dedication. He had acknowledged the immense effort put forth by both the trainees and the instructors, highlighting the collaborative spirit that had led to the program’s success. According to PBGen Wanky, the graduates’ commitment to the program reflects their passion for serving the community effectively.

He had expressed confidence in the graduates’ ability to apply their training in real-world situations, emphasizing their enhanced capability to deliver exceptional public service and respond effectively to any crisis.

The event was graced by the Command Group of PRO6, Training Staff, and Course Instructors, who celebrated the graduates’ accomplishments.

The atmosphere was filled with pride and optimism as the police officers were officially declared graduates in the Course of SWAT Training, ready to serve their respective communities.

This achievement had underscored the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) commitment to professionalizing its organization and ensuring its personnel are well-prepared to protect and serve the public.
