“Throughout the years, we have seen how PNP marches on to greater heights of honor and glory. Through its remarkable accomplishments and continuing internal reformation, it successfully hurdles vast challenges and difficulties, especially during the pandemic,” said Senator Ronald Dela Rosa on the 31st Foundation Day of the Philippine National Police on January 31, 2022, at Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.
“As the former Chief and father of PNP, I have witnessed how everyone works hard, contributes and do their shared responsibility, and even in many instances went beyond the call of duty just to ensure the safety and security of our public. Mahalagang gunitain natin ang araw na ito na syang simbolo ng inyong sinumpaang mandato, mula sa pagpapatupad ng batas, pagsugpo ng krimen at iligal na droga, paglaban sa terorismo, pagtulong sa mga nasalanta dala ng kalamidad at pagiging katuwang ng ating gobyerno sa patuloy na hamon ng kasalukuyang pandemya” Senator Dela Rosa added.
Meanwhile, PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos also commended the more than 225,000-strong gallant men and women of PNP for staying true and living up to the standards of professionalism, accountability, integrity, and commitment in the realm of law enforcement and public service.
“On our 31ˢᵗ year of brilliant service as the country’s national police force, we introduced a new level of professionalism and competency. We continuously delivered effective police operations and investigation amidst the pandemic. This outlook became more tangible as we increased police presence by maximizing the deployment of personnel. May it be for preventive patrol and PCR operations in communities where their services are much needed. Through these actions, we have strengthened our campaign against illegal drugs, crime, terrorism, and corruption while also fighting the unseen enemy in this health crisis”, PGen Carlos said.
Likewise, PNP Deputy Chief for Administration Lt. Gen. Joselito Vera Cruz expressed the PNP’s heartfelt appreciation for the continuing trust and confidence of the Filipinos who remain the heart and the center of all their efforts. “Asahan po ng ating mga minamahal na kapwa Pilipino na narito ang Pambansang Pulisya ng Pilipinas na katuwang ninyo hindi lamang bilang mga tagapagbantay at tagapagpanatili ng kaayusan sa komunidad kundi bilang isang organisasyon na tumutulong sa ating mga maralitang kababayan sa lahat ng panahon at oras,” Police Lt. Gen Vera Cruz further said.
A wreath-laying ceremony highlighted the celebration at the Bantayog ng mga Bayaning Tagapamayapa to recognize the heroic deeds of the fallen heroes of PNP.

“On this historically significant day, we join the Filipino nation in a fitting tribute to the nameless and countless officers, men and women of PNP whose blood, sweat, and tears nurtured the foundations of the what PNP has achieved today. Let us not forget the valiant sacrifices of our fallen brothers. They died on the battlefield while protecting this country against lawlessness. And the 126 front liners whose lives were taken by this contagious and deadly COVID-19 virus. Let their memory of heroism and sacrifices serve as inspiration for us to pursue our mission of protecting people’s life and liberty,” Senator Dela Rosa added.
Also present at the event were DILG Assistant Secretary Manuel Felix, Undersecretary Martin Diño, Undersecretary Ricojudge Janvier Echiverri, Jail Director Allan Iral, Fire Director Louie Puracan., and other distinguished guests from government agencies and NGOs.
