

Bansalan, Davao del Sur (Febraury 22, 2022) – The Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay celebrates with its 105 scholars who successfully completed their training on Bread and Pastry Production NCII under the Special Training for Employment Program of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority on their Closing Ceremony held at Barangay Darapuay Gymnasium, Municipality of Bansalan on Tuesday morning, Feb. 22, 2022.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Venus B Ortuyo, Deputy Provincial Director for Operation, representative of Police Brigadier General Edgar Alan O Okubo, Deputy Regional Director for Administration PRO 11, graced the closing ceremony accompanied with Police Lieutenant Colonel Imelda B Bernasor, DPDA, representative of Police Colonel Giuseppe A Geralde, Provincial Director, Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office. While Governor Marc Douglas C Cagas IV who was represented by his Chief of Staff Mr. Irick Gabon is the guest of honor and speaker.
As the ceremony continued, the resounding joy and celebration of success engulfed the vicinity as the scholars proudly accepted their Certificate of Completion of the following short courses they took with bundles of knowledge and skills acquired. Some of them graduated with awards such as Ingenious Award, Service Award, Cake Decorator, Promising Baker, Best in Pastry and Best in Bread Making.
Said program was realized through the efforts of Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay Team Darapuay under the leadership of Police Lieutenant Jergie Carumba with the help of Congresswoman Mercedes “Didi” Cagas and other stakeholders. In addition, the Bakery and Pastry Arts Institute spearheaded the whole duration of the training including the four short-courses: Bread and Pastry, Bread Making, Pastry Making and Cake Making which started last October 2021 and ended January this year.
This community training aims to provide the residents of Darapuay the opportunity to study and respectively hone their skills to become productive members of our society. It also steers the community to help themselves grow and become partners in any of the government’s livelihood program and gradually acquire sources of sustainable livelihood.
The project allocated Php5,000.00 for every student which sums up the total of Php525,000.00 aside from the budget used in the assessment of the program. Heartfelt thanks from the graduates were given to the RPSB family and its stakeholders as they are very grateful for bringing such government services closer to their community.

Also present in the celebration were PLTCOL Werenfredo S Regidor Jr, 2nd DSPMFC Force Commander; PMaj Richard Dumasig, Chief of Police, Bansalan MPS; PCpt Edward M Talaboc, 2nd Platoon Leader; Mr. Fausto Borrete Jr, Head, Provincial Training Center of Davao del Sur; Ms Grace D. Florentino, National Trade School Padada; Liezle D Mahinay, MBA, and other Training Institute and TESDA Trainers.
