Iguig, Cagayan- A successful Groundbreaking Ceremony was initiated by the snappy valley cops from Iguig Municipal Police Station headed by Police Major Jefrey J Canay, Chief of Police, for their 4th beneficiary of their “Libreng Pabahay Project” on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Brgy Ajat, Iguig, Cagayan.
With their commitment to service and in helping the Cagayanos, Iguig MPS came up with a project that will provide decent homes to deserving Cagayanos who really need it the most. PMaj Canay led the team to gather resources coming from the different stakeholders like Local Government Units, Non-Governmental Agencies and even from their personal pockets.
As a matter of fact, Iguig MPS led the rest of the stations in Police Regional Office 2 in building free houses which started on 2021 up until today.
According to Sir Ferdinand Trinidad, Iguig Municipal Mayor, the project could be done in three months or even earlier. He also commended the efforts of Iguig Cops in doing their very best to facilitate such projects given the limited resources and different activities that needs to be prioritized.
Said ceremony was also attended by the Acting Regional Director for Administration, PRO 2, Police Colonel Romaldo Bayting who was also the Guest of Honor of the turn-over ceremony of the 3rd Pabahay Project at Brgy. Campo in the same municipality, an hour earlier of the said groundbreaking.
Meanwhile Police Colonel Renell R Sabaldica, Cagayan Police Provincial Office Provincial Director lauded the collaboration of the Local Government Unit and the Philippine National Police towards a speedy implementation of the said project.
The people of Iguig once proved that together they can achieve greater things. Nothing seems difficult for a united community aiming for progress and in helping one another. Creating an impact towards others cannot be measured on how much you have, neither on what you give, rather on how you intend to help even the situation limits you to do such. Snappy salute to the entire team of Iguig MPS for immortalizing the spirit of bayanihan for the benefits of others.
