Police General Dionardo B. Carlos, Chief of the National Police visited the home of Police Regional Office 12 in Tambler, General Santos City on March 9, 2022.
The Police Regional Office 12 under the leadership of PBGen Alexander C. Tagum, Regional Director warmly welcomed Chief PNP, PGen Carlos, according him Arrival Honors and a festive local cultural dance.
Also present were PLtGen Jose Chiquito M. Malayo, Commander, Area Police Command – Western Mindanao; PMGen Ronaldo E. Olay, Director, Directorate for Logistics; and PMGen Michael John F. Dubria, Director, Directorate for Intelligence.
“Talk to the Men and Women of PRO 12” highlighted the visit, with PGen Carlos emphasizing to the personnel to remain apolitical and non-partisan in the National and Local Election 2022. Violators will be dealt with accordingly, and that the peacekeeping effort of the PNP during the event must be intensified.
“We are all one in our task for the election. PNP will only perform professionally for a peaceful election. We are now shifting to a higher gear, we’re moving in one direction, we’re moving as an organization.”, PGen Carlos said.
Likewise, PGen Carlos reminded every member of PNP with its “No-Take Policy”, and never get involved in any illegal activity; and that the commanders must supervise and monitor their personnel involved in gambling and cockfighting, especially on e-Sabong.
“Never go on gambling. If you are on duty and we catch you playing online gambling, I will make sure that you will suffer for that”, PGen Carlos added.
PGen Carlos also led in the giving and pinning of awards to four (4) PRO 12 deserving personnel for the Medalya ng Kadakilaan, and one for the Medalya ng Kagalingan.
The Medalya ng Kadakilaan Awards were received by PMaj Zean Paul L. Cubil, PLt Joelito S. Espero, PSSg Alex C. Develos and PCpl Milbert L. Ybanez, for displaying heroism and fearlessly facing the life and death three-hour of battle in Macabual, Pikit, Cotabato which resulted in the arrest of Mosim Manebped Dalandia alias “Takuwad” or “Datu M. Dalanda” on February 19, 2022.
PCol Jemuel F. Siason received the Medalya ng Kagalingan in “OPLAN EREBUS” which discovered Php4.6M worth of Marijuana in Sitio Magulo, Brgy. Miasong, Tupi, South Cotabato on January 30 and February 1, 2022.
Meanwhile, to strengthen the ranks of PRO 12, PGen Carlos shared with them an LED Screen and he also distributed five helmets to the Highway Patrol Group Unit which was accepted by PCol Eliseo O. Malana Jr.
In parting, PGen Carlos conveyed his heartwarming gratitude and appreciation to all the men and women of PRO 12.
PBGen Tagum extended his gratitude to the Chief, PNP, for his invaluable support and for motivating PRO 12’s personnel in continuing its boundless service and sacrifices for the people.
