The newly installed Chief of the Philippine National Police, Police General Rodolfo Santos Azurin Jr, graced the 31st Founding Anniversary of the PNP Aviation Security Group as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, accompanied with other Star Rank Officers of the Philippine National Police held at PNP AVSEGROUP Headquarters, Crash Gate 1, NAIA Complex on August 5, 2022.
Police Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon, Director, PNP AVSEGROUP led the men and women of this Unit along with his Command Group, Chiefs of Aviation Security Units including all Division and Section Chiefs, in witnessing this annual and remarkable celebration anchored with this year’s theme “PULIS NG PALIPARAN, ADHIKAING MAY PUSO AT DEDIKASYON, KAAGAPAY SA INYONG PAGLALAKBAY”.
Highlighting the celebration were the Inauguration and Blessing of the PNP AVSEGROUP Command Center, Office of the Command Group and Office of the Director, officiated by Police Colonel Arnulfo A Castillo, Chief of the Regional Chaplain Service of NCRPO and Conferment of Awards for Outstanding AVSEGROUP Unit and personnel for their immeasurable contribution to the attainment mission and objectives of this Unit. It was followed by Skills Demonstration conducted by the Elite Unit of AVSEGROUP, the Special Operations Unit.
In his message, PGEN AZURIN JR, emphasized that the 31st celebration symbolized the 31 years of monumental challenges and successes of this Unit and has proven the tireless commitment and selfless dedication of every personnel of the PNP AVSEGROUP.
“Ako ay nagpapasalamat sa inyong mahusay at matapat na paglilingkod. Gayundin sa epektibo at inisyatibong ipinapatupad upang tiyakin ang seguridad at kaayusan ng mga paliparan lalo na sa panahon ng pandemya, kalamidad at mga pangyayari kung saan ay kinakailangan nating maghigpit sa ating mga alituntunin para tiyakin ang seguridad, kalusugan at proteksyon ng ating mga biyahero. Ang tagumpay ng PNP AVSEGROUP para sa katuparan ng ating pangkalahatang misyon ay bunga ng ipinapakitang adhikaing may puso at dedikasyon ng bawat isa sa inyo”, PGEN AZURIN stated.
This milestone of the PNP AVSEGROUP became more meaningful due to the presence of the High-Ranking Officials of the PNP, Forefathers of the PNP AVSEGROUP, Advisory Council Members, Civilian Partners and Stakeholders, and other Invited Guests. Also, the anniversary rites had a live simulcast and were joined by the public and personnel of AVSEGROUP through live interactive platforms via PNP AVSEGROUP Official Facebook Page.
It has been 31 years since the PNP assumed responsibility for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the civil aviation industry in the country and was yearly celebrated in commemoration of the casing of colors of its forerunner organizations. It also speaks of the 31 years of collective effort, unwavering support, hard work, success over the plans and programs and different challenges of the missions that the PNP AVSEGROUP had accomplished.
