
PRO CALABARZON garnered the Gold Eagle Award during the Conferment Ceremony that coincided with the Monday Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremonies held on July 25, 2022 at Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.
The award was bestowed by then Philippine National Police, Officer-in-Charge, Police Lieutenant General Vicente D Danao, Jr PRO CALABARZON successfully attained the Institutionalized Status, the last phase of the Performance Governance System. Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Antonio C Yarra received the award with great enthusiasm, gracefully acknowledging a well- deserved recognition of the PRO 4A’s breakthrough accomplishments and contributions. Sharing the honor with him was PRO 4A’s personnel and officer, The Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (RAGPTD), and the community.
With the outstanding leadership of previous Regional Directors, Command Group and staff of PRO CALABARZON, up to the time of the current Regional Director, the unit has successfully hurdled the four stages of PGS with flying colors. During the Initiation Stage, the unit was able to garner the Silver Eagle Award on February 19, 2014. The unit passed the Compliance Stage on July 13, 2015 and received a Gold Eagle Award on March 23, 2018 for the Proficiency Stage.
Achieving the Gold Eagle Award for the lnstitutionalization Stage, PRO 4A will continue to pursue excellence, and lead and deliver their best in the field of public service. This achievement, will, indeed, motivate the men and women of PRO CALABARZON to exceed expectations in providing quality police services.
This success will not be possible without the contributions of RAGPTD led by its Chairperson, Honorable Alene B. Amillas, the City Mayor of Sta. Rosa City who was represented by Pastor Adiel H. De Torres during the conferment; with the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, Police Brigadier General Gregory B. Bogñalbal; and the Chief of the Regional Staff, and Chief, RPSMU, Police Colonel Rodelio C. Samson. The activity was joined virtually by the Deputy Regional Director for Operations, Police Colonel Edwin A Quilates; the Regional Staff; and all the Provincial Directors of PRO CALABARZON.
As PBGen Yarra ended his acceptance speech, he further elaborated on the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and dedication to one’s duty in the attainment of one’s goal, and gave emphasis on the adaptation of the 4A’s Service Principle.
