The Philippine National Police has always beef up its intensive campaign against all wanted individuals who are still hiding the law and are considered threats to national security and to law and order all throughout the country. For the last quarter, PNP had successfully arrested numerous high value personalities who had long been fugitives from justice.
Through the PNP Memorandum Circular Number 2019-035 dated June 21, 2019, with subject “Reward Valuation and Payment of Reward for the Arrest, Surrender or Death Through Lawful Police Intervention of Wanted Persons Considered Threats to National Security, and to Law and Order,” the Philippine National Police have effectively and efficiently implemented the law, thus, successfully having performed its mandate in safeguarding the people against the criminals.
On September 5, 2022, PNP grants a total of Php3,310,000.00 cash rewards to its confidential informants who provided vital information to the organization which resulted to the successful arrest of 14 Most Wanted Persons.
Police Lieutenant General Jose Chiquito M. Malayo, the PNP Officer-in-Charge, handed over the cash rewards to the claimants during the symbolic ceremonies held in Camp Crame, Quezon City, in behalf of Chief PNP General Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr. who was then with President Ferdinand R. Marcos in his visit in Indonesia and Singapore.
The accused were the subjects of Warrants of Arrest issued by the Court for involvement in heinous crime cases ranging from murder, rape, forcible abduction with rape, multiple frustrated murder, and multiple attempted murder.
“Granting of monetary reward to persons (except government employees) who are instrumental to the arrest, surrender or death in legitimate operations of Most Wanted Persons is among the programs of the Philippine National Police relative to the immediate arrest of Wanted Persons in the country,” Malayo said.
“Let these resounding achievements of our PNP units and personnel serve as the core of our M+K+K=K o ang “Malasakit, Kaayusan at Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran” as our peace and security framework towards the way forward in transforming PNP into a stronger and responsive police organization. Tulong tulong po tayo para sa isang mapayapa at maunlad na bansa,” Malayo added.
Preventing crimes and lawlessness within our community is everybody’s concern, thus, collaboration of every sector in society is a must. With the active support of the community, the Philippine National Police shall perform its mandate, protecting the populace and securing the community from crimes and lawlessness.
