
The Philippine National Police (PNP) Athletics Teams proved their dominance in the 5 Throws for All 2023 Philippine Masters Athletics Championships held at the Philippine Sports Commission Ultra Track and Field Oval on April 14 until 16, 2023.
The PNP Athletics Teams won a total of 61 medals, comprising of 22 golds, 31 silver, and 8 bronze. Various athletes from different countries participated in the event, including Japan.
The PNP Athletics Teams showcased their exceptional skills and talent, winning medals in different categories. PCpl Janzhel Udaundo brought home a bronze in Discuss; silver in Shotput, Hammer, 4×100 Relay, and 4X100 meter relay; while PSMS Maricris Gammag took home gold in Discuss, Shotput, Hammer, and Javelin.
PSMS Aaron Jayxen C Banatao won gold in 100M and Long jump; silver in 200M and 4×100 Relay; and bronze in 400M, while PCpl Jerson Galoso brought home gold in Long jump, silver in 110Highhurdles, and bronze in 4×100 Relay.
Meanwhile, Pat Dave Gumacal won silver in 3Km Walk and bronze in 4×100 Relay, while PCpl Ferlyn Dalida took home gold in Long Jump and silver in Javelin Throw.
On the other hand, PEMS Juny Rex U Carreon won gold in 4X400 and silver in Long jump and 3000M Steeple Chase while PMSg Michael A Pelaez dominated the competition, winning gold in 100 M, 200 M, 400 M, LJ, 4×400 Mix, and 4×400 Men, and silver in 4×100 Men.
PSMS Marissa Tumpalan won silver in 100mtrs and 200mtrs, and gold in 4×400 mix 40 up. PEMS Virgilio Aguila won silver in 100m, 200m, and Longjump, bronze in 400m, and gold in 4x400m.
PSMS Victor T Ayohan Jr won silver in 200mtr and gold in 800mtr and 4×100. PMSG Bryan A Urayenza also won silver in 100Mtr 40 up, silver in 4×100 Mixed 40 up, and gold in 4×400 Mixed 40 up.
PMSg Eduard C Antonio won silver in 4×100 mixed and bronze in 4×100 while PMSg Ronijen Sofla won silver in 800M and gold in 4×400 M.Relay and silver in 4×100 M.Relay.
Pat Robert Francisco brought home gold in 110 High hurdles and bronze in 4×100 relay. PSMS Janicel Balares won silver in 4x100M Relay and 4×100 Relay. PCpl Norman Flores also won silver in 4x100m relay and bronze in Triple jump.
The PNP Athletics Team is now preparing for their upcoming competitions in July and November this year. The team will compete in the World Police and Fire Games to be held in Winnipeg, Canada, from July 28 to August 6. They will also participate in the 22nd Asia Masters Athletics Championship to be held in New Clark City, Capas Tarlac, from November 8 to 12, 2023.
PCol Marlou Roy V Alzate, the Head of Delegation, and PLtCol Chona D Panganiban, the Supervisor, expressed their pride and gratitude to the team for their hard work and dedication.

PNP Chief, General Rodolfo Azurin Jr., also congratulated the team and emphasized the importance of sports in PNP.
