The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class of 2027 officially took their Oath of Office on June 1, 2023, at the BGen Cicero C. Campos Grandstand. The event marked the beginning of a rigorous four-year academic and training program for the 266 cadets, comprising 62 females and 204 males.
The PNPA Class of 2027 is the first class to include a cadetship innovation that makes cadetship inclusive to all stakeholders. This innovation, which involved their parents, family and loved ones is a significant milestone in the cadets’ journey towards becoming law enforcers who embody professionalism, integrity, and a deep sense of public service.
The very first Acceptance Day Ceremony, a brainchild of the dynamic Superintendent/Director Police Major General Eric E. Noble was a momentous occasion that celebrated the grit, determination, and exceptional qualities displayed by the incoming class. It was a commitment that represented their willingness to prioritize the welfare of the public above their own, showcasing the selflessness and integrity that define the PNPA’s best graduates.
In his keynote address, Police General Benjamin C. Acorda Jr., Chief of the Philippine National Police, commended and congratulated the PNPA Class of 2027 for their dedication and hard work in joining the noble profession. He reminded them of the challenges they will face in their future careers as police officers and underscored the importance of upholding the values of duty, honor, and service in the performance of their duties as future members of the Philippine National Police.
PGen Acorda Jr. emphasized that the newly appointed cadets must possess the values of professionalism, responsibility, efficiency, objectivity, competence, integrity, honesty, respect, and good character. He also highlighted accountability as a critical virtue, encouraging the cadets to gain respect from the community and take responsibility for every action, recognizing that everything they do will reflect the entire institution and lead by example.
The PNPA Class of 2027 is a testament to the strength and resilience of the Filipino people. They are a group of young men and women who have chosen to dedicate their lives towards serving their country. They are the future of the PNP, and they will play a vital role in keeping the peace and upholding the law.
The PNPA is proud to welcome the Class of 2027. We are confident that they will uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, and that they will make us all proud.
