The Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR), under the leadership of Acting Regional Director PBGen Prexy D. Tanggahowhn, bid farewell to a dedicated servant of the Philippine National Police (PNP) with a retirement ceremony held in honor of PBGen Gideon E. Dy, Executive Officer of the Area Police Command โ Western Mindanao (APC-WM).
The ceremony, held at Camp BGen Salipada K Pendatun on September 12, 2024, was a testament to PBGen Dy’s distinguished career spanning 30 years, four months, and 26 days. It was attended by a host of dignitaries, including PMGen Bernard M. Banac, Acting Commander of APC-WM; PCol Warren Gaspar A. Tolito, Acting Director of the Communication and Electronics Service, JCSupt Johnson M. Calub, Regional Director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region 9; PBGen Dy’s immediate family; his classmates from the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) “Kaagapay” Class of 1996; APC-WM personnel; and other special guests.
The ceremony served as a poignant tribute to PBGen Dy’s unwavering dedication and sacrifices for the country. His colleagues and superiors lauded his exemplary service and commitment to upholding the PNP’s core values. The event was a heartfelt recognition of his contributions to maintaining peace and security in the region.
