The Barobo PNP, in coordination with PDEA 13, arrested the Top 7 regional level drug suspect during a buy-bust operation conducted in Purok 4, Barangay Dughan, Barobo, Surigao del Sur at around 7:20 PM on September 18, 2024.
The arrested individual, identified by the alias โDangas,โ is a 43-year-old drug pusher, living with a partner, unemployed, and a resident of Purok 3, Poblacion, Barobo, Surigao del Sur.
During the operation, one package of suspected shabu was confiscated as the buy-bust item, along with three additional packages of suspected shabu belonging to the arrested individual, with a total of 9.2 grams valued at Php 62,560, along with other drug paraphernalias.
The operation was successfully led by personnel from the Barobo Municipal Police Station, headed by Police Major Nursalan T. Muhadalam, Officer-In-Charge (Lead Unit), in coordination with the PDEA Surigao del Sur Provincial Office led by Intelligence Officer II Javelyn Anore, Regional Intelligence Division personnel, and PSOG personnel.
The arrested suspect and the confiscated items are now in the custody of the Barobo Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
This successful operation symbolizes the determination of law enforcement to intensify the fight against illegal drugs and crime, as a step towards maintaining order and peace for the citizens, leading to a Safe New Philippines.
