In Lucena City, Quezon Province, the recent Ugnayan sa Barangay/BIDA and R-PSB Launching event lighted the Multi-Purpose Covered Court in Barangay Ibabang Iliyam with a spirit of unity and progress. With the esteemed presence of Police Lieutenant General Rhoderick C. Armamento and Police Major General Edgar Allan O. Throughout the day, approximately 1,600 residents were beneficiaries of a wide array of services, ranging from essential medical check-ups and vaccinations, to legal services and pre-employment coaching. Central to the success of the event were two key initiatives: the Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay or the R-PSB program, and the Ugnayan sa Barangay/BIDA movement. R-PSB, launched by PNP, represents a groundbreaking approach to community-centric policing with the end view of sustaining support initiatives and preventing insurgent resurgence. By fostering trust and cooperation at the grassroots level, R-PSB aims to create safer environments which are conducive to sustainable development.
