In a significant breakthrough in the fight against crime, authorities have arrested a male farmer listed as the No. 4 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level for two counts of Qualified Rape. The suspect, identified by the alias “Kardo,” a resident of Sitio Malaylaya, Mararique, San Manuel in Isabela, was apprehended at approximately 2:45 PM in Barangay Tuao South, Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya.
The successful operation was carried out by a joint team of law enforcement units led by the San Manuel Police Station, with support from the Bagabag Police Station, Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Police Office (NVPPO), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU-IPPO), Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit (PIDMU-IPPO), Regional Intelligence Unit 2 (RIU2), PIT Isabela West, 3rd Platoon 1st IPMFC, and the Regional Mobile Unit 2 (RMU2).
The arrest was made under the authority of a warrant issued on January 7, 2025, which stipulated no bail for the charges against the suspect. Following his arrest, “Kardo” was informed of his legal rights and is currently being held at the San Manuel Police Station for documentation before being transferred to the court of origin.
PCol Lee Allen B. Bauding, Provincial Director of the Isabela Police Provincial Office (PPO), praised the efforts of the police team and reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to upholding justice and ensuring the safety of the community. Moreover, Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) Director, PBGen Antonio P. Marallag Jr., commended the law enforcement officers behind the successful operation that led to the arrest of the No. 4 Most Wanted Person in Isabela for qualified rape.
