Pampanga Drug Sting yields Php 2.7Million Worth of Shabu; Four Suspects Arrested

Authorities in Pampanga had scored a major victory in the fight against illegal drugs, confiscating Php2.7Million worth of suspected shabu during a successful anti-drug operation in Bacolor on the evening of January 25, 2025.

The operation, carried out around 8:12 PM in Barangay Cabetican, Bacolor, had resulted to the arrest of four suspects, including one identified as a High-Value Individual (HVI). The operation was led by the Pampanga Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit, Bacolor Municipal Police Station, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA R3).

The arrested individuals, identified as Alias “Jane”, 45, a fish vendor from San Quintin, Pangasinan; Alias “Jaime”, 52, a security guard from Quezon City; Alias “Jeff”, 44, a motorcycle mechanic from Caloocan City; and Alias “Rie”, 39, a tattoo artist from Quezon City, including a High-Value Individual (HVI), had further intensified the significance of the operation.

Authorities had seized approximately 402 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 2,733,600. Additionally, the operation had resulted to the confiscation of a Para-Ordnance .45 caliber pistol with serial number 53487, including a magazine with three live rounds, Colt Trooper MK-III .38 caliber revolver with serial number 850209 and three live rounds, a gray Redmi cellphone and a gray Hyundai Sonata with plate number TOG 788.

The suspects had been informed of their constitutional rights during the operation and are currently in PDEU custody. They now face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) as well as charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

PBGen Jean S. Fajardo, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), commended the dedication and teamwork of the operatives. “This accomplishment reflects our commitment to rid Central Luzon of illegal drugs and ensure the safety of our communities. The arrest of this High-Value Individual and their accomplices sends a strong message that we will not tolerate any activity that undermines the well-being of our people,” PBGen Fajardo said.

She further emphasized the importance of community involvement in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs, encouraging the public to report any suspicious activities.

The Philippine National Police, in collaboration with partner agencies, continues its intensified efforts to eliminate illegal drugs and safeguard the community toward a Bagong Pilipinas.
