Php374K Worth of Shabu seized in Camarines Norte

Two high-value individuals were arrested in a successful operation conducted in the town of Daet, Camarines Norte on February 5, 2025. The operation resulted to the confiscation of eleven pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing suspected illegal drugs with a total estimated value of Php374,000.00. The said drugs were seized from suspects identified as alias “Ian” and alias “Nonie,” both of legal age and residents of Barangay 185 in Caloocan City.

The operation was led by personnel from the Camarines Norte Police Intelligence Unit (CNPIU), the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU), and the Daet Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office V (PDEA ROV).

The said operation is part of the ongoing campaign of PNP Bicol against illegal drugs in the region and the pursuit of individuals involved in its distribution.

The suspects are currently facing charges for violating the provisions of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

As part of the PNP’s mandate, Daet MPS led by PLtCol Errol T Garchitorena Jr, Chief of Police, in partnership with various government agencies, will continue conducting anti-illegal drug operations. PNP Bicol under the leadership of PBGen Andre Perez Dizon, Regional Director, also continues to strengthen efforts to raise public awareness relevant to the harmful effects of illegal drugs on health and safety, as well as emphasize the importance of community cooperation in eradicating illegal drugs in the region.
