“Health is wealth.” This timeless principle continues to guide the Philippine National Police (PNP) as it strives to build a stronger and more resilient police force. A healthy body is essential for enjoying life and effectively serving the public. Recognizing this, PNP officially had launched the BMI A.W.A.R.E. (All-Inclusive Weight Assessment and Risk Evaluation) D.I.Y. (Do-It-Yourself) program on April 3, 2025, at the PNP Multi-Purpose Center, Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame in Quezon City.

Spearheaded by the PNP Health Service (HS) under the leadership of Police Brigadier General Jezebel D. Medina, the initiative aims to raise awareness on health and wellness by promoting proper Body Mass Index (BMI) assessment among police personnel.
The program provides a proactive and accessible way for PNP members to evaluate and manage their weight and overall health, empowering them to take charge of their physical well-being. By equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary for self-assessment, the initiative fosters a culture of health consciousness within the organization.

Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, Chief PNP, graced the event as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. He personally led in the distribution of Body Assessment Tools to the participants and encouraged them to participate actively in the program.
The event also featured PNP Health Service resource speakers who shared valuable insights on proper nutrition and physical fitness—both essential components of a healthy lifestyle. These informative discussions emphasized the importance of maintaining good health not only for individual benefit but also for enhanced efficiency and readiness in police service.

The BMI A.W.A.R.E. D.I.Y. program reflects the PNP’s commitment to building a healthier, more capable police force. This initiative not only prioritizes the well-being of police personnel but also reflects PNP’s firm support with the government’s broader mission of empowering every sector under the Bagong Pilipinas campaign.
By fostering health consciousness and self-care within the ranks, PNP takes another step toward nation-building through health and discipline, committed to both public service and internal transformation.
