In a heartwarming display of care and compassion, 27 police personnel and their families received financial and health assistance from the PNP Officers Ladies Club Foundation, Inc. (PNP OLC FI) through its inspiring program, “Love and Blessings” (LAB) Virus: Spreading in Every Touch. The event, held on January 24, 2025, at Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba City, Laguna, brought together leaders and members of the Foundation to extend much-needed support to the guardians of peace and their loved ones.
Leading the initiative was PNP OLC FI National Adviser Mrs. Mary Rose P. Marbil, the wife of PNP Chief PGen Rommel Francisco D. Marbil. She was joined by PNP OLC FI PRO IV-A Adviser Mrs. Mary June T. Lucas and PNP OLC FI President Mrs. Leilani Alba. Together, they emphasized the Foundation’s mission to provide assistance and show unwavering support to the police force, whose sacrifices often go unacknowledged.
The program provided more than just financial aid. Beneficiaries also received grocery packs and health kits, an explicit gesture of caring that goes beyond material support. In her message, Mrs. Marbil spoke with heartfelt sincerity about the program’s purpose. “We are not just distributing aid; we are sharing hope, empathy, and blessings. You are all part of the PNP family, and it is time to protect our protectors,” she said, underscoring the importance of recognizing and uplifting the heroes behind the uniform.
The “LAB Virus” program, aptly named for its aim to spread the infectious spirit of love and generosity, represents the Foundation’s vision of touching lives in meaningful ways. Mrs. Marbil expressed her hope that more individuals and groups would join in extending kindness to police personnel in need, creating a ripple effect of positivity throughout the community.
The day’s activities also included the launching of a Child Minding Center to support police families further; a tree planting event to promote environmental sustainability; and a lively PRO 4A Barrio Fiesta. The exhibit showcased the rich culture and local products of CALABARZON through its “One Town, One Product” (OTOP) initiative, highlighting the pride and vibrancy of the region.
As part of the event, Mrs. Marbil led the induction of new officers of the PNP OLC Foundation Inc. for PRO IV-A and its Police Provincial Offices, signifying the Foundation’s continued growth and commitment to its mission.
With this initiative, the PNP OLC Foundation Inc. has now reached its twelfth region, reaffirming its goal of touching every corner of the country with its message of love, hope, and solidarity. The Foundation’s work reflects the essence of community and shared humanity, demonstrating that small acts of kindness can create profound impacts in the lives of those who serve and protect.
The “LAB Virus” program serves as a testament to the power of compassion and solidarity, reminding us all of the profoundness of genuine care on individuals and communities. By uplifting the lives of the brave men and women who serve and protect, the PNP OLC Foundation Inc. reinforces the message that no one stands alone in the face of challenges. As this initiative continues to spread love and blessings across the nation, it inspires hope for a stronger, more united PNP family and a brighter future where kindness and empathy are at the heart of every endeavor. Together, we can build a legacy of care and resilience that will resonate for generations to come.
