To promote a safer environment for the people of Region 1, the Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) had officially launched the iLocos Region Online Law Enforcement, Investigation, Community Affairs, and Emergencies Electronic Buzz Emergency Response Mobile Application (iPOLICE eBuzz-ER Mobile App) on October 14, 2024 at the PRO 1 Grandstand in Camp BGen Oscar M. Florendo, San Fernando, La Union.
This innovative platform was inspired by the S.E.C.U.R.E.D. Agenda of PRO 1 Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Lou F. Evangelista, combining modern technology with user-friendly, community-centered services. It empowers the public to swiftly report incidents and be able to access streamlined frontline services from police and other government agencies.
The iPOLICE eBuzz-ER Mobile App is a cutting-edge tool designed to provide real-time, accessible, and efficient crime and emergency reporting. With its user-friendly interface, it allows users to connect seamlessly with law enforcement through its key features such as: Emergency Hotline which provides a one-tap icon that directs users to the emergency service numbers of the Regional Headquarters and all four provincial offices of PRO 1. This mode ensures quick access to emergency services across the region; iPOLICE eBuzz-ER Emergency Button enabling users to send an immediate alert, including their names, contact numbers, emails, and location to the Provincial Tactical Operations Center (PTOC). The PTOC promptly verifies the alert, gathers additional information, and dispatches the nearest police unit to the scene; Election 2025 providing a one-tap access to election-related information such as COMELEC’s official website, election materials, precinct finder, statistics, and candidate profiles; and Feedback, which allows users to provide feedbacks and rate the app based on their experiences, offering a user-centered approach to continually enhance the app’s usability and responsiveness.
During the launch, PBGen Evangelista had emphasized the app’s transformative potential in police operations and public service. He highlighted its ability to enhance communication between the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the community while ensuring faster response times during emergencies.
“Sa pamamagitan ng app na ito, inaasahan nating mapapabilis ang pagtugon sa mga emergency, mapapaayos ang komunikasyon sa ating mga stakeholders, at higit na mapabuti ang serbisyo sa publiko,” he said.
PBGen Evangelista had also urged the residents of Region 1 to download and familiarize themselves with the app, stressing its importance in maintaining safety and order within the community.
“I urge everyone to familiarize yourselves with this new tool and utilize it to its full potential,” he added.
As PRO 1 continues to strengthen its bond with the community, the iPOLICE eBuzz-ER Mobile App serves as a cornerstone for more efficient, transparent, and responsive policing. This technological innovation marks an important milestone in the region’s pursuit of a safer and more harmonious society, where law enforcement and citizens collaborate to create a crime-free environment.
