The Police Regional Office Cordillera held the Retirement Honors for Police Brigadier General Patrick Joseph Gama-as Allan, former Deputy Regional Director for Administration of PRO-CAR, at the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, in La Trinidad, Benguet on August 28, 2024.
PBGen Allan was warmly welcomed with arrival honors a traditional dance, and trooping of the line led by Police Brigadier General David K Peredo, Jr, Regional Director, along with the police officers of PRO-CAR.
During the ceremony, PBGen Allan was awarded the PNP Special Service Medal (Medalya ng Pambihirang Paglilingkod), the PNP Service Medal (Medalya ng Paglilingkod), and other tokens and mementos in recognition of his dedication to PNP in his nearly 33 years of service.
In his speech, PBGen Allan bade farewell to his distinguished career in the Philippine National Police (PNP), and expressed gratitude to everyone he had worked with in various units, as well as his mentors. He also encouraged his fellow officers to embrace the three aspects of DKP set by the Regional Director, and uphold the reputation of PRO-CAR as the Home of the Most Disciplined Cops. He shared the true meaning of service through a plebe’s knowledge entitled “What is Service?”
“Learn to live without fear. Face hardships and sufferings without complaint. Recognize the beauty in the simple things around you. Serve the poorest without regard for cost or reward. Be happy to live, but not afraid to die,” he said.
After his message, Police Colonel Arnold D Razote, Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division, read the retirement order; while Police Executive Master Sergeant Dennis W. Enomis, Regional Executive Senior Police Officer, led in the lowering and encasing of PBGen Allan’s personal flag. The ceremony concluded with the retirement of the PNP badge, read by Police Captain Charlie Allan, with PBGen Peredo, Jr accepting PBGen Allan’s badge as a symbol of his official retirement from service.
PBGen Allan hails from the province of Benguet in the Cordillera and a proud member of the Philippine National Police Academy “TAGAPAGLUNSAD” Class of 1993.
