Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) had opened 500 slots for the 2024 Patrolman/Patrolwoman Attrition Program. The Philippine National Police (PNP) assures the public that the recruitment process will be fair and independent, focusing on admitting the most qualified candidates.
The PNP Recruitment and Selection Service (RSS) is in charge of the entire process. This ensures that the selection is standardized and free from local influences, including those from PRO7.
To guarantee fairness, the PRO7 Recruitment Screening Committee uses a QR Code System that keeps applicants’ identities confidential during the assessments. Candidates will go through a series of tests, such as body mass index (BMI) and agility tests, drug testing, neuropsychiatric evaluations, and medical exams, to ensure that only deserving individuals are selected.
PRO7 Regional Director PBGen Anthony Aberin had emphasized the importance of merit, integrity, and fitness in the recruitment process. He had assured the public that only qualified candidates will be chosen, highlighting that the entire process is managed by RSS to guarantee fairness and transparency.
This commitment to fairness benefits not only PNP but also the public it serves. A transparent and credible recruitment process ensures that the organization is composed of capable, trustworthy individuals. It also strengthens public confidence in the institution, knowing that its members are selected through a thorough and impartial system.
Ultimately, fairness in recruitment is more than just a procedural standard; it is a reflection of an organization’s values. By prioritizing impartiality, transparency, and professionalism, PNP sets a strong example for other institutions, showing that integrity in recruitment builds the foundation for a reliable and trustworthy organization.
