The 1504th Maneuver Company (MC) of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 (RMFB 15), proudly celebrates a significant milestone as one of its scholars, Omega Jay Lopez Palangdao, has finally graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from the Data Center College of the Philippines–Bangued, Abra, on May 30, 2025.
Omega, a native of Barangay Ableg in Daguioman, Abra, is the son of Romeo A. Palangdao and Nida L. Palangdao. Raised in a humble household alongside two brothers, Omega’s upbringing in the mountainous region instilled in him the values of hard work, humility, and responsibility—principles that shaped his academic journey.
Motivated by a deep passion for justice and public service, Omega pursued a degree in Criminology despite the financial hardships endured by his family. His dream was realized through the “Alay na Dunong at Edukasyon ni Kuya” (ADEK) Program, an educational assistance initiative of the 1504th MC, RMFB15. The ADEK Program, sustained by the voluntary monthly contributions of the unit’s personnel, provided vital financial support to its beneficiaries as well as a strong sense of community partnership and solidarity. Such initiative ignited Omega’s determination to strive for his ultimate dream, holding on to the thought that he was never alone—that a family of public servants stood behind him, believing in his potential.
“Omega’s success is a reflection of what can be achieved when we invest not only in education, but in the future of our youth. We are proud of what he [had] accomplished and even more excited for what he will achieve [ahead, especially in] the service of our country and people”, said Police Captain Randy P Gallardo, Acting Company Commander, 1504th MC, RMFB15 .
Omega’s graduation is not only a personal triumph, but also a testament to the mission of the ADEK Program—to uplift deserving students from underserved communities through the spirit of Bayanihan and the transformative power of education.
