The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) warmly welcomed the Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Juanito Victor C. Remulla during his visit to Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B. Delgado in Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City on February 21, 2025.
His presence was met with great enthusiasm from police officials and personnel, underscoring the strong relationship between DILG and law enforcement agencies in Western Visayas.
Leading the welcome ceremony was PRO6 Regional Director PBGen Jack L Wanky, alongside the Command Group and Regional Staff. Members of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) were also present highlighting the collaborative effort among key agencies in ensuring public safety. The gathering, a meeting of sorts among peace advocates reflected a unified commitment to strengthening security measures and enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement.
Secretary Remulla’s visit, in fact, is a reaffirmation of DILG’s continuous support for the police force. In his address, he acknowledged the dedication of PRO6 personnel in maintaining peace and order in the region. He had also emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in addressing security concerns and in implementing effective public safety programs, even motivating officers and staff to remain steadfast in their duties of protecting the community.
