The 2nd PMFC’s Impactful Medical Mission in Pampanga

Uniting for Wellness

In a heartwarming display of compassion and dedication to community well-being, the 2nd Police Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO) recently organized a transformative Free Medical Mission for the residents of Barangay Panipuan in Mexico, Pampanga on April 7, 2024.

The event, held at their Headquarters, resonated with praises for its profound impact and unwavering commitment to public health. Under the leadership of PLtCol San Juan Felmar D. Aquino, Force Commander of the 2nd PMFC, and in strategic collaboration with the Pampanga 2nd PMFC Advisory Group, the medical mission delivered essential healthcare services with remarkable efficiency and empathy. The invaluable contributions of esteemed medical doctors: Dr.  Jose Marl Owen O. Ramos and Dr. Jose Leonell G Miranda, were pivotal in ensuring the mission’s resounding success.

In an interview, Dr. Ramos eloquently emphasized the paramount importance of societal collaboration in advancing health and well-being, highlighting the transformative impact that unity across sectors can bring for the collective benefit of all.

The Medical Mission commenced with health screenings, encompassing thorough blood pressure checks and eye examinations that are specially designed to cater to the unique needs of senior citizens. The distribution of free eye glasses and the provision of complimentary internal medicine consultations underscored the mission’s holistic approach to promoting individual well-being.

Mrs. Tess Concepcion, a participant in the event and a respected senior citizen, warmly expressed her profound gratitude for the comprehensive services provided during the Medical Mission. She remarked, “I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this Medical Mission. The eye-check-up, in particular, was very beneficial for me as a senior citizen. It allowed me to address any potential eye health issue and to receive the necessary guidance on maintaining good vision.”

Patrolwoman Flor’lyn Mellendez, Assistant PCAD PNCO of the 2nd PMFC, passionately elaborated on the mission’s overarching goal of nurturing the well-being of the local community. Her insights shed light on the mission’s comprehensive approach to sustainable health outcomes.

Barangay Captain Arnold Cunanan of Barangay Eden in Mexico Pampanga, echoed the same sentiments of gratitude, acknowledging the Medical Mission as a beacon of hope and support for the community. He remarked, “The Medical Mission was, indeed, a lifeline for our community, providing indispensable healthcare services that many residents would have struggled to access otherwise. The immeasurable benefits received from this initiative will forever be cherished in our hearts.” The resounding gratitude expressed by Hon. Arnold underscores the profound impact of collaborative efforts in enhancing the well-being of communities.

This initiative resonates deeply with the mission and vision of the Philippine National Police (PNP), which is committed to serving and protecting the Filipino people with integrity and compassion. The PNP’s focus on community engagement and public service finds tangible expression in endeavors like the Medical Mission, where law enforcement agencies actively contribute to the well-being and upliftment of local communities.

Furthermore, the Medical Mission aligns seamlessly with the goals of President Ferdinand “Bong-Bong” Marcos’ administration, a “Bagong Pilipinas” which places a strong emphasis on ensuring accessible and high-quality healthcare for every Filipino citizen. This alignment underscores the mission’s significance as not just a local endeavor, but a pivotal step towards realizing a healthier and more inclusive society envisioned by the administration.
