The Philippine National Police (PNP) Ladies Club Foundation, Incorporated (PNP-OLC FI) had launched a heartwarming initiative called “Love and Blessing” or “LAB Virus,” aimed at bringing smiles and support to those in need. This compassionate effort, held on August 20, 2024, at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City, had provided invaluable assistance and gifts to ailing PNP-NCRPO personnel and to the young students of the Bahay Bulilit Day Care Center.
PNP-OLC Advisor Mary Rose P. Marbil, wife of PNP Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil, and its President, Leilani S. Alba, had recognized the challenges faced by NCRPO personnel suffering from long-term illnesses or disabilities. The initiative had provided these individuals with cash and other forms of assistance, demonstrating the PNP-OLC and NCRPO’s deep commitment to the welfare of PNP personnel.
The LAB Virus had spread its reach to the children of the Bahay Bulilit Day Care Center, the children receiving school supplies and other necessities for their studies, ensuring that they have the tools they need to succeed in their education. In that same event, the children had performed a delightful number, adding to the festive atmosphere and showcasing their talents.
The initiative exemplifies the power of spreading love and kindness. By providing tangible support to ailing personnel and beneficiary children, PNP-OLC had demonstrated its commitment to making a positive impact on the community, serving as an inspiration for others to consider ways they can contribute to the well-being of those around them.
In essence, the “LAB Virus” demonstrates the importance of community support and the power of small acts of kindness to make a significant difference in the lives of others. By reaching out to those in need, PNP-OLC had brought smiles to those who received assistance and had also fostered a sense of unity and compassion within the community.
