Php2M Pesos Worth of Shabu seized; Top 4 Most Wanted Person Arrested
The Police Regional Office 9 under the watch of Police Brigadier General Roel C. Rodolfo has continued its mandate as shown in its unwavering efforts to address criminal activities to uphold peace and order and public safety in the Zamboanga Peninsula. Such efforts led to the latest two notable operations which were successfully executed, showcasing exemplary collaboration among various police units in the region and their utmost dedication to the community’s safety.
In a significant operation conducted by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9, in partnership with the PDEA IX – Zamboanga City Office, the Zamboanga City Police Station 6, and the Naval Intelligence Security Group-Western Mindanao, a drug buy-bust operation was executed on March 18, 2025 at 10:06 PM in Don Alfaro Street in Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga City. The operation led to the arrest of a 23-year-old male resident of Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City.
During the operation, authorities seized two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu (which were part of the buy-bust transaction) and six additional heat-sealed sachets of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu totaling 400 grams, with an estimated street value of Php2,720,000.00.

The confiscated illegal drugs were immediately brought to the Regional Forensic Unit 9 for examination, while the arrested suspect was taken into custody at the Zamboanga City Police Office for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation in Purok Malinawon, Barangay Limas, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur at 8:00 PM of March 18, 2025, a successful intelligence-driven operation led to the arrest of Marlon Beloy Anggot, Top 4 Most Wanted Person (provincial level). Anggot, who was wanted for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610, was apprehended by the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit 9-Zamboanga del Sur in collaboration with the Tigbao Municipal Police Station, 902nd Maneuver Company – RMFB 9, and Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office.

The warrant for his arrest was issued by Branch 22 RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur on March 18, 2025. The accused is currently in the custody of the CIDG – Zamboanga del Sur Police for proper disposition.
