The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) bid farewell to a distinguished officer, Police Major General Mafelino Aspero Bazár, of the Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management (DICTM) thru a retirement honors ceremony held on October 15, 2024, at the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Police General Rommel Francisco D Marbil, the Chief, Philippine National Police (CPNP), Key Officers of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region, and other high-ranking officers.
PMGen Mafelino A Bazár, a proud graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Tanglaw-Diwa” Class of 1992, has had an illustrious career spanning over 36 years, marked by dedication and significant contributions, particularly in information and communications technology, which had enhanced the Philippine National Police’s operational capabilities.
PMGen Bazár received several accolades during the ceremony, including: PNP Special Service Medal (Medalya ng Pambihirang Paglilingkod), PNP Service Medal (Medalya ng Paglilingkod), PNP Efficiency Medal (Medalya ng Kasanayan), a Command Saber, a Gallery of Awards, and other Mementos. These awards had recognized his remarkable service and commitment to the PNP.
In his farewell message, PMGen Bazár had expressed gratitude to his colleagues and mentors, saying, “Now that I am retiring from active duty, I will always carry with me the memories and friendships I have made within the PNP organization.” He also thanked his wife, Mrs. Myles Bazar, who was presented with a Plaque of Appreciation for her unwavering support to his duty.
The ceremony had concluded with PBGen Kirby John B. Kraft reading the retirement order, marking a significant transition for PMGen Bazár. Following this, PEMS Joel M. Claro, the Chief Clerk of DICTM, led the solemn act of lowering and encasing PMGen Bazár’s personal flag, a poignant symbol of his distinguished service. PCpt Sarah Mae C. Bazar then read the retirement of the PNP badge, symbolically signifying the end of PMGen Bazár’s active duty.
As he embarks on this new chapter in his life, PRO-CAR extends its heartfelt gratitude for his dedicated service and wishes him a fulfilling and rewarding retirement.
