Together in Healing, United in Service

Strengthening the morale and safeguarding the welfare of its personnel remain among the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Focused Agenda, ensuring that every member of the police force feels valued, supported, and cared for. Beyond law enforcement, the Nation’s Peacekeeper continues to implement initiatives that nurture compassion, unity, and well-being within its ranks, as it consistently undertakes programs that boost the morale of its personnel, especially those facing health challenges.

In line with this advocacy, on December 10, 2025, the Philippine National Police OLC Foundation, Inc. (PNP-OLCFI) once again translated malasakit into meaningful action through its LAB in Action activity, reaffirming both the Foundation and the PNP’s enduring commitment to compassion, solidarity, and genuine care for PNP personnel.

Led by Mrs. Mary Rose O. Nartatez, National Adviser of PNP-OLCFI, and Mrs. Leilani Alba, President of PNP-OLCFI, the activity provided early Christmas gifts and financial assistance to 40 PNP personnel currently battling various medical conditions. While simple in form, the gifts carried a powerful message of hope and reassurance, reminding the beneficiaries that they are never alone and that PNP family stands firmly beside them in their journey toward healing.

The activity was graced by the Acting Chief, PNP, Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. PLtGen Nartatez paid tribute to the courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication of the beneficiaries, emphasizing that the true strength of the organization lies in its people. He underscored that the initiative reflects the very heart of PNP as isang pamilyang nagmamalasakitan at nagtutulungan.

Also present during the event were Police Major General Roderick Augustus B. Alba, Director for Police Community Relations; Police Brigadier General Vina H. Guzman, Acting Director of the Police Community Affairs and Development Group; members of the PNP-OLCFI; and other PNP officials.

Before the LAB in Action activity, Mrs. Nartatez went to the PNP General Hospital to personally visit and deliver gifts and financial assistance to PNP personnel currently undergoing recovery. Representing PLtGen Nartatez, she carried forward the PNP’s tradition of compassion through Pamaskong Handog 2025: Alay ni TSIP para sa mga Pasyente ng PNPGH.

During the visit, Mrs. Nartatez conveyed heartfelt messages of hope, strength, and solidarity from the Acting PNP Chief, assuring each patient that they remain valued and cherished members of the PNP family. The gift-giving activity, organized in partnership with the PNP-OLCFI and supported by the PNP Health Service headed by Police Brigadier General Jezebel D. Medina, embodied unity and genuine concern for the welfare of PNP personnel. Through these acts of giving and presence, PNP reaffirmed its commitment to stand with its personnel throughout their healing journey.

As the Christmas season draws near, these acts of compassion serve as a heartfelt affirmation that hope shines brightest when shared. PNP extends its wishes for strength, comfort, and recovery to all its personnel facing health challenges, with the hope that they may celebrate the holidays with renewed spirit and the warmth of their loved ones, secure in the knowledge that the PNP family stands with them, always.
