The current PNPA Commandant of Cadets, is a distinguished public servant who continues to exemplify dedication, discipline, and service to the nation. Born on June 17, 1973, in the picturesque city of Naga, Camarines Sur. PCol Vina Habana Guzman has risen through the ranks with a combination of hard work, academic excellence, and an unyielding commitment to the core values of the Nation’s Peacekeeper.


PCol Guzman began her academic journey with a degree in Political Science, which laid a strong foundation for her understanding of governance and public administration. Her journey in the field of law enforcement began with her entry into the prestigious Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), where she became the 1st Female Company Commander, and graduated as a proud member of PNPA “Kaagapay” Class of 1996. She further honed her leadership and administrative skills by earning a Masterโ€™s in Public Administration, a qualification that complements her responsibilities in the police force. Over the years, her dedication to duty and exemplary performance in various roles had cemented her reputation as a trailblazer in the police force.


As the Commandant of Cadets, said esteemed officer is entrusted with the crucial responsibility of molding future leaders of PNP. Her leadership is marked by her dedication to instill discipline, integrity, and service-oriented values among cadets, ensuring them to be prepared for the challenges of modern policing.


Behind her professional accomplishments is her supportive family who serves as her strength and motivation. She is married to PBGen Benigno L. Guzman, whose unwavering encouragement has been instrumental in her career. Together, they have raised three accomplished children: Krishtine Mae, Kenneth Ian, and Khevin Ivan Guzman.


PCol Guzman’s journey from Naga City to becoming the first female Commandant of Cadets of PNPA is an inspiring story of perseverance and excellence. As a leader and role model, her story serves as an inspiration for aspiring public servants, proving that with dedication and right values, one can achieve great things both for country and family.
