A solemn and significant send-off ceremony and blessing of the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) 2025. Security Forces and Mobile Assets took place on March 8, 2025 at the Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) in Bayawan City. This ceremonial event had marked the official deployment of security personnel assigned to safeguard the upcoming regional athletic meet, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants and attendees.
The CVIRAA 2025 was set to feature 20 participating Schools Division Offices, with competitions spread across 33 venues and accommodations arranged in 44 billeting areas. The assembled security forces were tasked with safeguarding athletes, coaches, and spectators, ensuring that the events proceed in a peaceful and orderly manner. Their presence was intended to deter potential threats and provide a reassuring sense of security to all attendees.

The ceremony began with an invocation and blessing, symbolizing the collective hope for protection and guidance from a Higher Power as these men and women undertake their duties. Local government officials from Bayawan City were also in attendance, acknowledging and emphasizing the crucial role these security forces play in maintaining peace and order throughout the duration of the event.
The community had expressed profound gratitude towards these unified forces, placing their trust in them to uphold safety and ansuring that CVIRAA 2025 unfolds in an environment characterized by sportsmanship, discipline, and excellence. This collaborative effort had, indeed, underscored the commitment of both the security personnel and the local government for a successful regional athletic meet.

As of January 14, 2025, Police Brigadier General Redrico Atienza Maranan has been serving as the Regional Director of Police Regional Office 7 (PRO 7) which encompasses the Central Visayas region. His leadership was anticipated to bring a wealth of experience and dedication to the role, further enhancing the security measures implemented for events such as CVIRAA 2025.
In preparation for CVIRAA 2025, various delegations had conducted their own send-off ceremonies. For instance, the Cebu City delegation, comprising around 1,200 personnel, including nearly 1,000 athletes from both elementary and secondary divisions, held a send-off ceremony on March 7. During this event, Mayor Raymond Garcia assured the athletes that the city government had fully covered all logistical needs, providing items such as water tumblers, personal hygiene kits, beds, pillows, and brand-new sneakers. Additionally, 15 engineers and 30 skilled workers were deployed to assist the delegation throughout the competition.

Similarly, the Talisay City Division had organized a send-off ceremony for its 901 delegates on March 7 as they prepared to travel to Bayawan City for the athletic meet.
The concerted efforts of these security forces and the comprehensive preparations of participating cities reflect a unified commitment to the success of CVIRAA 2025. With robust security measures and well-prepared delegations, the event was poised to be a celebration of athletic talent, community spirit, and regional unity.
