The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA (PRO MIMAROPA) marked a significant milestone in its continuing mission to strengthen public safety and enhance police service delivery with the formal inauguration and blessing of the newly constructed Concepcion Municipal Police Station (MPS) Building Type B/C.
The event, held at Barangay Poblacion in Concepcion, Romblon, on April 4, 2025, was graced by Police Brigadier General Roger L. Quesada, Regional Director of PRO MIMAROPA, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The inauguration was attended by local government officials, community members, and partner agencies—all witnessing a key development in the enhancement of police infrastructure in the province.
In his message, PBGen Quesada emphasized the significance of the new facility not only as a structural improvement but also as a symbol of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) commitment to serve and protect the community. He underscored how the establishment of the said building represents PRO MIMAROPA’s dedication to ensuring that police personnel are provided with a modern, functional, and comfortable working environment that will further elevate the standard of public service.
“Kaakibat ng gusaling ito, inaasahan na higit pa natin maiaangat ang kalidad ng ating serbisyo at mapangalagaan ang tiwala sa atin ng publiko. Lagi ninyong isapuso na ang bawat pader at haligi ng himpilang ito ay tinayo upang mapatibay ang ating malasakit at serbisyo sa bayan,” said PBGEN Quesada.
He also called on the personnel to take pride in and safeguard the facility, stating: “Ating ingatan at pahalagahan ang bagong himpilang ito at iba pang mga pasilidad ng kapulisan tulad ng pagpapahalaga at pangangalaga natin sa imahe ng PNP.”
Funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) for Fiscal Year 2024, the construction of the Concepcion MPS was part of the broader Facility Development Program of PNP under the leadership of PNP Chief, Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil. Such initiative aims to upgrade police infrastructure nationwide to meet modern standards of operational efficiency and public service delivery.
The new station design provides enhanced functionality and space to accommodate the growing operational demands of PNP in the municipality. It is equipped with upgraded amenities and designed to support a more responsive and effective policing system, ultimately benefiting the community of Concepcion and surrounding areas.
The successful completion of this project marks another significant step for PRO MIMAROPA in its commitment to building stronger and safer communities in the region through enhanced law enforcement infrastructure and sustained community partnerships—truly embodying the vision of a Bagong Pilipinas.
