Together in Service: PNP OLC-FI Revisits PRO1

On May 6, 2025, the Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) under the leadership of Police Brigadier General Lou F. Evangelista, Regional Director, extended a heartfelt welcome to the Philippine National Police Officers’ Ladies Club Foundation, Inc. (PNP OLC-FI), led by Mrs. Mary Rose P. Marbil, PNP OLC-FI Adviser. The visit marked a significant event, underscoring the continuing partnership between the Bannuar ti La Union Eagles Club and PRO1 OLC-FI in delivering support and services to PRO 1 personnel and their families.

The highlight of the program was the blessing and inauguration of the newly established PRO1 OLC-FI Office—a purposive facility designed to serve both as an administrative office and a museum. The ceremonial ribbon-cutting was led by Mrs. Marbil and Vice Mayor Josephine Sumangil-Evangelista, who also serves as an adviser to PRO1 OLC-FI.

Also inaugurated was the PRO1 Child Development Center, an eco-friendly hybrid facility powered by solar energy. PNP OLC-FI also conducted a storytelling session for daycare learners, who later performed a short presentation to express their gratitude. PNP OLC-FI likewise donated two air purifiers to the facility, supporting efforts to maintain a clean and healthy learning environment.

Following the inauguration, OLC-FI proceeded to Ariana Hotel, where they distributed financial assistance and medical kits to 15 critically-ill PNP personnel. This was part of OLC-FI’s flagship program—Love and Blessing (LAB) Virus, a nationwide initiative that extends support, healing, and hope to police officers and their families during times of need.

“You are not alone. In your struggle, we are with you. In your journey, we walk beside you. This program may not solve all problems, but it is a hand held out in friendship, a heart opened in solidarity, and a family saying: Kaya natin ito, magkasama tayo,” said Mrs. Marbil.

“As the National Adviser of the PNP OLC Foundation Inc., I assure you that we will continue to be a vessel of love and blessings—because that is what this Foundation stands for. This is what we hope to multiply—a virus, yes, but one that heals, one that uplifts, one that transforms,” she added.

Furthermore, individuals who contributed to the success of the said projects were given certificates of appreciation by PBGen Evangelista.

“The presence of the PNP OLC-FI, along with their generous contributions and heartfelt programs, is a testament to the kind of leadership that uplifts lives,” he said.

The visit reaffirmed the mission of the PNP OLC-FI: to serve as a pillar of strength, comfort, and unwavering support to those who serve and protect.
