Faith, service, family, and youth development converged in two meaningful activities spearheaded by the PNP OLC Foundation Inc. (PNP OLCFI), as the culmination of Flores de Mayo 2026 and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Summer Dance Workshop 2026 brought together families of PNP personnel in celebrations centered on devotion, compassion, discipline, and empowerment.
The culmination of Flores de Mayo 2026, held on May 29 at St. Joseph Church, was a solemn and spiritually enriching celebration honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary. The event gathered devotees, families, and community members in an atmosphere of prayer and reverence as participants joined the Holy Mass and the colorful Santacruzan procession—an enduring Filipino tradition symbolizing faith, gratitude, and devotion to Mary.
Adding meaning to the celebration, members of the PNP OLCFI, led by Mrs. Mary Rose O. Nartatez, National Adviser of the PNP OLCFI, distributed school supplies to young beneficiaries, supporting children’s welfare and education.
The following day, on May 30, another meaningful gathering unfolded through the PNP Summer Dance Workshop 2026, a celebration of talent and family participation among PNP dependents.
The event showcased young participants who demonstrated skills developed through weeks of training in foundation dance, hip-hop, pop dance, and basic cheerleading. Their performances reflected not only creativity and enthusiasm but also confidence, perseverance, and teamwork—values instilled throughout the workshop.
Gracing the event as Guests of Honor were Mrs. Nartatez and PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. Also present during the activity were Police Brigadier General Vina H. Guzman, Director of the Police Community Affairs and Development Group, along with other PNP officials and proud parents who personally witnessed the participants’ performances, including those of their own children who joined the training program.
Led by the PNP Headquarters Support Service under the leadership of its Director, PBGen Manuel J. Abrugena, the initiative continues to empower young people through dance, fitness, and values formation. Beyond developing performance skills, the program seeks to cultivate discipline, confidence, and excellence among future performers who may one day represent the country in local and international competitions.
Through these meaningful initiatives, the PNP and its partner organizations continue to demonstrate that service extends beyond law enforcement—embracing faith, compassion, family engagement, and youth empowerment as essential foundations for building stronger communities and a more hopeful future for the next generation.
