PNP Bolsters Mobility Operations with the Newly Improved Motor Pool Service Center

The leadership of Police General Nicolas D. Torre III, Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), has introduced a paradigm shift within the PNP organization. As the first PNPA graduate to hold the PNP’s highest post, PGen Torre has redefined policing approaches making them more efficient and service-driven.

Guided by his Three-Key Pillars, particularly the “Accountability through modernization,” PGen Torre banners a modernized yet community-centered PNP. A reliable and dependable police force, ready to respond and provide police assistance in as fast as five-minutes, particularly to those highly-urbanized cities all throughout the country.

On July 9 2025, another milestone was achieved by the PNP organization as it officially launched its newly upgraded PNP Motor Pool Service Center situated at the National Headquarters in Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City. The PNP Top Cop personally led in the launching ceremony together with other key PNP officers and personnel from the PNP Logistics Support Service (LSS) headed by Police Brigadier General Noel B. Vallo, Director; and other support units.

The said facility is expected to significantly contribute to PNP’s modernization program especially in its police mobility operations. It will serve as the central hub for the maintenance and dispatch of the PNP’s General Dispatch Vehicles (GDVs), such as buses, coasters, Innovas, Hi-Ace vans, and service trucks vital in the effective and efficient  deployment of its personnel and the conduct of successful police operations.

Notably, the event also featured the introduction of two key innovations aimed at improving the management and monitoring of the PNP’s vehicle fleet: the Vehicle Maintenance Monitoring Information System (VMMIS) and the installation of Global Positioning System (GPS) trackers in all GDVs.

VMMIS is a digital database that records vehicle registration, insurance information, and scheduled maintenance while the GPS system allows for real-time tracking of vehicle movement to enhance operational efficiency and ensure accountability.

The launch of the Motor Pool Service Center is part of the PNP’s continuing efforts to modernize its logistical systems and strengthen support services for field units. With these advancements, PNP aims to boost the responsiveness, visibility, and readiness of its personnel in line with its mission to deliver swift and effective public service.

With the PNP’s deep commitment to excellent public service under PGen Torre’s watch, these innovations can elevate the organization to greater heights, solidifying the PNP Top Cop’s mantra: “Huwag niyo na kaming hanapin sa mga presinto. Sapagkat kami ay nasa inyo ng mga telepono. Dial 911. Darating kami sa loob ng limang minuto!”
