PRO BARMM Records 127 Arrests, Seized Php12.4M of Illegal Items in 20 Days

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr has firmly set a clear direction for the Philippine National Police (PNP) under the leadership of Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Acting PNP Chief. This is to deliver excellent police services vital in maintaining peace and security across the nation, anchored to the collective vision of Bagong Pilipinas.

Following the directive, the Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (PRO BARMM) led by Police Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman, Regional Director, has persistently intensified its Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEOs)  all throughout the Bangsamoro region.

In a span of 20 days, from October 1 to 20, 2025, PRO BARMM had successfully conducted  a total of 190 operations resulting in the arrest of 127 individuals involved in various crimes, including illegal drugs, smuggling, firearms violations, illegal logging, and gambling. High-value items recovered during these operations included firearms, explosives, illegal drugs, smuggled goods, and stolen vehicles, with an estimated total value exceeding Php12.4 Million.

Among these accomplishments were the 58 anti-illegal drug operations conducted by PRO BARMM, which led to 69 arrests and the seizure of 348.25 grams of shabu worth Php2.37 Million, along with two firearms. In the same covering period, the region also confiscated 63 small arms, two long weapons, RPG ammunition, and a hand grenade, courtesy to its comprehensive campaign against loose firearms.

Likewise, eight Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) were also captured, including top-level municipal, provincial, and regional fugitives, along with 23 other wanted individuals. Anti-smuggling efforts also yielded 280 boxes and 25 reams of smuggled cigarettes with an estimated value of over Php10 million, while anti-illegal logging operations recovered 800 board feet of lumber.

Additionally, PRO BARMM’s operations against illegal gambling had resulted in seven arrests and the confiscation of bet money, four fighting cocks, and two improvised cockpits. Intensified routine police patrols and checkpoint operations further contributed to these efforts, resulting in 15 arrests and the recovery of explosives and a getaway vehicle.

PLtGen Nartatez commended the personnel of PRO BARMM, saying: “The men and women of PRO BARMM exemplify dedication to the President’s vision for a safe and disciplined society. Their swift and precise actions ensure that communities across BARMM feel the presence of law enforcement and that the rule of law is upheld.”

With these numbers and statistics, PRO BARMM reassures the public that such intensified operations will continue, particularly as the entire country prepares for the upcoming Undas and holiday season, consistent with the PNP’s mantra: “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”
