Touching Lives Through Kindness and Community Service

With its unwavering commitment to bring government services closer to the community, the personnel of the South Cotabato Police Provincial Office, in collaboration with the HAWUD International Charity Foundation and the Brigada News FM Koronadal, spearheaded a Feeding Program and Operation Tuli at Barangay Concepcion, Koronadal City in South Cotabato on May 3, 2025.

A total of 200 boys from various municipalities across South Cotabato Province had successfully availed the program’s free medical services. They were also provided with free meals after the medical procedures. The outreach program was also made possible with the cooperation of the Barangay Health Workers (BHW) in Barangay Concepcion, who also assisted throughout the activity.

The HAWUD International Charity Foundation with its tagline “Together we can make a difference” has long been working with various communities in the region, driven by its core mission— to improve child nutrition, care for our planet, and ultimately end hunger and poverty. Its partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and various Local Government Units (LGUs) has broadened the foundation’s reach and enhanced its capacity to create positive changes for many individuals, significantly contributing to community development and nation building.

Meanwhile, on May 13, an incident startled the customers waiting in a long queue at a fast-food chain in General Santos City. It was a pregnant woman who suddenly lost consciousness queuing at the Jollibee Lagao Branch.

Fortunately, Police Corporal Adrimar Manggaron who is assigned in the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD) of the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO12), had quickly responded and ensured the woman’s safety before the emergency responders arrived. He was the first to provide assistance, alongside his wife, who also happened to be present at the scene.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) promptly arrived and brought the pregnant woman to the nearest hospital for further medical attention.

This is not the first time that members of PNP have shown deep concern and proactive service to those in need. Amidst daily news, issues and controversies, such stories remind us that there are still police officers at every corner of the street who are ready to help, even in unexpected situations.

This is the very principle that Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director, PRO 12, instills in all PRO 12 personnel—to always adhere to their mission, a dependable and trustworthy police force, committed to serve with compassion.

Such heroism displayed by PCpl Manggaron is a living proof that police service is not just about maintaining peace and order, it is also a duty with a heart.

Through collaboration and compassion, we can continue to uplift communities and create lasting impact. Together, we serve. Together, we care.
