Serbisyong Mabilis Leads to Recovery of Stolen Properties and Arrest of Suspects Within Hours

The men and women of the Philippine National Police (PNP) continue to embody the mantra, “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” as the swift response of its personnel and technology-assisted investigations led to the recovery of stolen properties and the arrest of individuals linked to two separate incidents within hours.

In San Juan City, investigators from the National Capital Region Police Office recovered a stolen motorcycle using CCTV footage, case verification, and close coordination with other police units. The operation also resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old construction worker for the alleged violation of Republic Act No. 10883, otherwise known as the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.

The case stemmed from a report filed by the motorcycle owner on July 12, 2026, after discovering that the vehicle had been taken from its parking area along F. Manalo Street in Barangay Batis, San Juan City. Acting immediately on the complaint, investigators reviewed CCTV footage that captured the individual who allegedly stole the motorcycle. The stolen vehicle was subsequently located at Police Community Precinct 2 of the San Jose del Monte City Police Station.

Through further coordination and verification with other police units, authorities traced the stolen motorcycle, valued at approximately Php145,000. Upon inspection, the complainant positively identified the recovered vehicle and confirmed that the individual found in possession of it matched the person captured in the CCTV footage. The suspect was subsequently arrested and informed of the nature of his arrest.

In a separate operation, personnel of the Ermita Police Station of the Manila Police District recovered a smartphone worth approximately Php86,000 that had allegedly been stolen from a 32-year-old Korean national in Malate, Manila. Using CCTV footage, device tracking, and coordination with the complainant, police traced one of the suspects to Quezon City, leading to the arrest of one individual and the recovery of the motorcycle allegedly used in the commission of the crime.

A follow-up operation in Tondo, Manila, resulted in the arrest of another suspect and the recovery of the stolen smartphone. As of this writing, appropriate charges are being prepared against the arrested individuals, while efforts continue to locate the remaining suspect allegedly involved in the incident.

Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief, PNP, underscored the importance of prompt incident reporting, technology-driven investigations, and strong inter-unit coordination in solving crimes and recovering stolen property.

“Kapag mabilis ang report at mabilis din ang aksyon ng ating mga pulis, mas malaki ang posibilidad na ma-recover ang nawawalang ari-arian at maresolba ang kaso. We will continue strengthening our operations while ensuring that all actions remain within the law and respect the rights of everyone involved,” he said.

These accomplishments reflect the PNP’s continuing efforts under its Focused Agenda, particularly the Enhanced Managing Police Operations, to strengthen response capabilities, maximize the use of technology in investigations, and deliver faster, more effective, and more responsive police service to the public.
