PNP Records Major Gains in Nationwide Anti-Drug Operations

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr., Acting PNP Chief, continues to achieve significant results in its campaign against illegal drugs through enhanced management of police operations, recovering substantial quantities of dangerous drugs in multiple locations nationwide.

On November 14, 2025, at approximately 10:00 AM, authorities were alerted by a fisherman who recovered a shredded laminated sack containing twenty-four plastic packs of suspected cocaine from the sea waters roughly 6.5 nautical miles off the boundary of Rizal and Quezon, Palawan.

The combined efforts of the Quezon and Rizal Municipal Police Stations, the Maritime Group, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, the Police Intelligence Unit, the Palawan Provincial Forensic Unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and local barangay officials ensured the proper documentation and secure turnover of the 26.47-kilogram haul, valued at over Php140 Million.

Later that day, the Dumaguete City Police conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Junob, resulting in the arrest of a newly identified high-value suspect and the recovery of approximately 400 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php2.72 Million.

Meanwhile, in Busuanga, Palawan, nearly two kilograms of suspected marijuana kush, valued at Php2.36 Million, were voluntarily turned over to authorities by local residents and barangay officials. The item was immediately documented and submitted for laboratory examination.

In San Vicente, Palawan, a sealed package containing 1.2 kilograms of suspected cocaine, valued at Php6.36 Million, was found along the shoreline and was surrendered to the police following close coordination with barangay officials and members of the media for proper forensic processing.

“These successful operations demonstrate our determination to protect every Filipino from the dangers of illegal drugs. We continue to act decisively to prevent these substances from reaching our communities,” said PLtGen Nartatez.

PNP assures the public that it will sustain its relentless efforts against illegal drugs through strengthened intelligence work, community engagement, and inter-agency collaboration, reinforcing the PNP’s guiding principle of Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.
