Community Outreach Program in Calamba: Bringing Hope and Joy to Barangay Real

In a remarkable display of community spirit, the RPCADU 4A personnel led by PCol Meldrid E. Patam, Chief of RPCADU 4A, conducted a significant outreach program in Sitio Kabute in Barangay Real, Calamba City, Laguna on July 22, 2024. This initiative was part of the 29th Police Community Relations Month celebration which included a Community Outreach Program, Feeding Program, and Information Awareness Drive, all aimed at spreading hope and happiness among local residents.


The event showcased a collaborative effort among various units and organizations: RCADD PRO 4A, Laguna PPO, Calamba CCPS, RMFB 4A, TESDA IV A, Bebelog Japan Surlus, Anti-Narcotics International Assistance Group, Ms. Arianne Olorocisimo representing City Councilor Kath Silva, and MBK Phils. Their united stand resulted to a successful program that benefited over 200 individuals.


Participants received food packs, bags, school supplies, slippers, packed lunches, packs of fabricon conditioner, dishwashing liquid, and vocational training such as massage wellness, and the production of dishwashing liquid and fabcon conditioner. These provisions were deemed essential for the daily needs of the community, especially for families in need.


In addition to material aid, important discussions on Republic Act 9262 (Violence Against Women and Their Children), Anti-Child Abuse and Protection, and NTF-ELCAC/Anti-Terrorism were held, the discussions raising awareness and equipping the community with knowledge in order to protect their rights and safety. The team also distributed 500 IEC materials relative to Anti-Terrorism, Anti-Illegal Drugs, VAWC, La Niña Awareness, and E-Sumbong.


The smiles and laughter, the genuine joy in the eyes of the children in Sitio Kabute were truly heartwarming. The happiness, fueled by the simple gifts and activities provided, reflected the profound impact created by even the smallest acts of kindness. Every bite of food, the new school supply, and each colorful bag, brought them renewed hope and joy, with their laughter and dreams, now brighter, showcasing how the outreach program gave them not just immediate relief but also a lasting inspiration.


Indeed, the success of this program met the immediate needs of the community and solidified the partnership between the police and the residents, serving as a powerful reminder that when we come together with genuine care and commitment, we can ignite real change and inspire hope. This initiative is a testament to the strength of collective effort and compassion, proving that every act of kindness and cooperation contributes to building a stronger and more unified community.
