PRO 10 Achieves 94.5 Percent Satisfaction Rating, Reflecting Strong Community Trust

Mindanao Development Authority Chief of Public Relations Dr. Adrian M. Tamayo presented the results to the PNP Police Regional Office 10, the Trust, Respect, Safety and Security and Public Satisfaction on Police Service.

This result has shown the public’s overall point of view based on the first semester of this year, where Pro-10 obtained 94.5 percent in terms of satisfaction rating and 93.34 percent of security rating.

Tamayo keeps on reiterating that Northern Mindanao is safe and secure, contrary to what others imagined it to be.


When it comes to law enforcement, Local Government Unit employee in cities like Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Lanao del Norte and even the island provinces of Camiguin, had been implementing security measures, including curfews, emergency hotlines and community policing programs.

In terms of crime rates and public safety, major urban cities have presented low crime rates. The authorities have been effective in controlling serious crimes and in enhancing better public safety.



With regards to travel and security, the cities mentioned above are those well-developed, with established emergency services and frequent police patrols contributing to a secure environment for residents, entrepreneurs and visitors.

Pertaining to traffic safety and urban order, they have been implementing strict regulations to maintain order on public spaces, enhance street lighting and road reflectors to guide travelers, specifically during night time, with the installed CCTV cameras along highways to respond danger in case of emergencies.

He added that Northern Mindanao is safe and ready for investors and investments.

The moment we heard these words coming from authorities we can actually foresee that establishing businesses along this area is progressive, whether coming from local and international sources.
Every time we hear the word Region 10, the regional center is Cagayan de Oro City. Majority of humankind existing in this area are good samaritans, this is the reason why it is called the “City of Golden Friendship”.
