The Philippine National Police (PNP) has once again demonstrated its firm resolve to combat economic crimes and protect consumers after dismantling a large-scale counterfeit footwear operation in Bulacan. The successful raid, which resulted in the seizure of nearly Php197 Million worth of fake products and manufacturing equipment, underscores the PNP’s sustained efforts to crack down on intellectual property violations and other forms of illegal trade.
The operation was conducted in warehouses located in Barangay Inaon, Pulilan, Bulacan, pursuant to a valid search warrant issued by the Malolos City Regional Trial Court, Branch 7, for violation of Republic Act No. 8293, also known as the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines. It was carried out at around 10:30 AM on January 16, 2026, by joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit 3 (CIDG RFU 3) as the lead unit, CIDG Bulacan Provincial Field Unit, and the Pulilan Municipal Police Station.

Seized during the operation were 1,119 boxes of counterfeit footwear valued at Php141,024,000; 30 sacks of footwear accessories worth Php39,000,000; one injector machine valued at Php2,500,000; and three sets of molding machines amounting to Php14,250,000. The combined estimated value of the confiscated items reached Php196,774,000.
Authorities identified three suspects: a Filipino-Chinese individual from Manila and two Chinese nationals, both residents of Barangay Inaon, Pulilan. They are now under the custody of CIDG RFU 3 for further investigation and appropriate legal proceedings. All confiscated items were turned over to the proper authorities for inventory, safekeeping, and eventual disposition in accordance with existing laws.

Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Acting PNP Chief, lauded the swift coordination among the operating units and emphasized the organization’s firm stance against fraud and other unlawful activities.
“This accomplishment shows that the PNP is serious in enforcing the law. Hindi natin papabayaang maloko ang publiko at may lumabag sa batas. Protecting legitimate businesses and the Filipino people is always our priority,” he said.
He further underscored the broader impact of the operation, noting that actions against counterfeit goods go beyond protecting brand owners. “Ang ganitong hakbang ay hindi lamang laban sa pekeng produkto kundi laban sa pandaraya at paglabag sa batas,” he added, stressing that such illegal activities undermine fair competition and pose risks to consumers.
PNP reaffirmed its commitment to intensify operations against counterfeit products and other economic offenses, calling on the public to remain vigilant and report similar illegal activities. Through sustained enforcement, inter-agency cooperation, and community support, PNP aims to strengthen consumer protection and uphold the rule of law in pursuit of a safer and more accountable nation for the Filipino people.
