Through strengthened strategic enforcement and sustained vigilance, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has marked another milestone in its anti-illegal drugs campaign, with a recent two-day nationwide operation yielding remarkable results in arrests, drug seizures, and dismantling of drug networks, in line with the PNP’s Focused Agenda in enhancing the management of police operations.
Under the leadership of Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Acting PNP Chief, a total of 21 Most Wanted Persons were arrested, and Php78,549,492 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated from October 28 to 29, 2025.
On October 29, authorities seized Php20,384,000 worth of illegal drugs, including 360 grams of suspected shabu valued at Php2,484,000, and eradicated an 89,500 fully grown marijuana plantation with Standard Drug Price of Php17,900,000.00 in Sitio Lococ, Badeo, Kibungan, Benguet. The operation was made possible through the coordinated efforts of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Provincial Special Operations Group, Kibungan Municipal Police Station (MPS), and 2nd Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–CAR.

During the same period, buy-bust operations were conducted in Cavite, Iloilo City, and Cebu City which resulted in the apprehension of four High-Value Individuals. In Dasmariñas City, Cavite, two suspects were caught in possession of 150 grams of shabu worth Php1,020,000.00; another suspect was arrested in Iloilo City with 130 grams of shabu valued at Php884,000.00, along with a .38-caliber revolver and live ammunition; and in Cebu City, operatives apprehended a drug suspect with 80 grams of shabu valued at Php544,000.00.
Meanwhile, on October 28, illegal drugs worth Php58,165,492.00 were confiscated, bringing the total haul over the two-day operation to Php78,549,492.00. All seized items were properly turned over to concerned offices for proper documentation and disposition, while the arrested individuals are now facing criminal charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165) and the Illegal Possession of Firearms Act (RA 10591).

PLtGen Nartatez commended the efforts of the field units, stating: “These results demonstrate the PNP’s unwavering resolve to protect every Filipino from the threats of drugs and crime. We will continue to pursue criminals relentlessly. Our operations are guided not by numbers alone, but by our commitment to ensure that every community is safe and every citizen can live without fear.”
During the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony on November 3, the PNP Top Cop also lauded the dedication and teamwork of all police officers nationwide who significantly contributed to the 13.96% drop in the crime rate over the past three months, as initially reported on November 2. Data presented during the comprehensive press briefing on the same day showed the declined index crimes from 6,961 cases between July and August 25 to 5,989 from August 26 to October 30. Focus crimes such as murder, homicide, rape, robbery, and car or motorcycle theft also dropped by 14.01%.
From August 26 to October 30, PNP conducted 9,061 anti-drug operations that led to 10,434 arrests and the seizure of Php1.91 Billion worth of illegal drugs. The intensified campaign against wanted persons also resulted in the arrest of over 11,500 individuals, while 5,600 loose firearms were confiscated, surrendered, or placed under safekeeping. In addition, crackdowns on illegal gambling and smuggling led to the seizure of Php2.86 Million worth of gambling materials and Php337.8 million worth of contraband.

“All these accomplishments are part of the PNP Focused Agenda—our roadmap that ensures we manage resources wisely, take care of our people, improve operations, uphold integrity, and work closely with the community,” said PLtGen Nartatez.
In the briefing attended by PLtGen Bernard M. Banac, The Deputy Chief PNP for Administration; PLtGen Edgar Alan O. Okubo, The Deputy Chief PNP for Operations; and other key officers, PLtGen Nartatez extended his gratitude to all members of the police force who ensured the generally peaceful and orderly observance of Undas 2025.

Aside from presenting the latest updates on the national crime situation and law enforcement accomplishments, the briefing also paved the way for PLtGen Nartatez to acknowledge the collective efforts of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Philippine Coast Guard in maintaining public safety.
