PNP Team Shines at International Athletics Championship

The Philippine National Police (PNP) Athletics Team, proudly led by PLtCol Imelda M. Reyes of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), had paid a courtesy call to PNP Chief, PGen Rommel Francisco D. Marbil at the PNP Star Lounge, NHQ building, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame in Quezon City, on November 22, 2024.

This momentous occasion had followed the PNP Team’s stellar performance at the 2nd Philippine Masters International Athletics Championships 2024, where they secured the 1st Runner-Up position. Competing against 25 teams from countries including USA, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Canada, and India, PNP athletes brought home an impressive medal haul: 32 golds, 17 silvers, and 15 bronzes.

Held from November 8 to 10, 2024, at the PhilSports Track and Field Oval in Pasig City, the event had showcased the PNP athletes’ dominance in various disciplines such as sprint, long jump, triple jump, javelin throw, and relays. The team’s remarkable performance had reflected their unwavering commitment to discipline, teamwork, and excellence—values synonymous with the PNP’s vision of “Mahusay, Matatag, at Maasahan na Kapulisan.”

Police General Marbil lauded the team’s achievements during the courtesy call, stating: “Team PNP’s outstanding performance at the Philippine Masters International Athletics Championships not only demonstrates their athletic prowess but also embodies the resilience and determination that define the Philippine National Police.
