PNP Dismantles Drug Network in Taytay; Over Php43 Million Worth of Marijuana Seized

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Acting PNP Chief, continues to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs as well as in dismantling illegal drug networks. The men and women of the organization have doubled their efforts and achieved another significant victory in their relentless anti-narcotics operations, following the arrest of a high-value target and the confiscation of over Php43 Million worth of suspected marijuana and cannabis-infused products during a buy-bust operation in Taytay, Rizal, on October 23, 2025.

The operation, spearheaded by the Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Taytay Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old male identified as a high-value individual involved in the distribution of high-grade marijuana.

Authorities recovered approximately 25 kilos of high-grade kush; 23 kilos of dried marijuana leaves; 1,600 cartridges of suspected liquid marijuana; and 200 pieces of suspected marijuana-infused vape juice, with the total estimated value of Php43,860,000.00.

PLtGen Nartatez commended the operating team for their precision and professionalism, emphasizing that every successful operation reflects the organization’s commitment to secure communities and safeguard the future of the Filipino youth.

“This decisive operation exemplifies the unwavering commitment of our police force to protect every Filipino from the scourge of illegal drugs. Our men and women in uniform continue to demonstrate courage, integrity, and excellence in the face of danger. Let this serve as a clear warning to all who persist in the illegal drug trade—there will be no refuge, no safe passage, and no escape from the law. PNP will strike swiftly, guided by our duty to safeguard the nation and the future of our youth,” he said.

The confiscated drug evidence and non-drug items, including marked money, weighing scales, and falsified identification cards, are now under police custody. The suspect is currently detained at the Taytay Municipal Police Station Custodial Facility, with appropriate charges being prepared for filing in court as of this writing.

With every operation that dismantles an illegal drug network, PNP reinforces its commitment to build a safer and drug-free Philippines—true to its mission to protect the public, uphold the rule of law, and ensure that peace and order prevail in every community across the nation.
