From our earliest years to the most challenging chapters of llife, family remains a timeless pillar of strength, love, and identity. It is where we belong, feel accepted, and are supported behind the demanding world of law enforcement. More than just a break from daily routine, Family Day is celebrated annually by the Philippine National Police (PNP) to honor and dedicate time for police personnel to reconnect and bond with their loved ones.
On July 29, 2025, Police General Nicolas D. Torre III, PNP Chief, recognized the vital role that family plays as the backbone of a resilient and dedicated police force when he graced the “Family Day and One-Day Special Event of Frontline Services” program at the PNP Multi-Purpose Center in Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City. The activity served as a venue of expressing gratitude to every PNP personnel who stood brave and strong through all seasons of service.

The PNP Top Cop welcomed all representatives from various government agencies, including Mr. Angel Custer M. Enriquez of the Department of Foreign Affairs (Passport-on-Wheels), Mr. Melvin P. Iguiron of the Land Transportation Office (LTO E-Patrol Central Office), and Mr. Navin Gerald O. Garcia of the Pag-IBIG Fund-On-Wheels. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) was represented by Mr. Victor E. Mendoza from the PhilSys Registry Office and Mr. Karlo Maru M. Dimaano from the Civil Registry Services. Also present were Ms. Marietta Agieto from the Quezon City Public Employment Service Office and Ms. Yvonne Nicole M. Canlas of the Department of Agriculture.

Private sector partners who significantly contributed in the success of the Kabalikat Fair 2025 included the Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund, Inc. (PSMBFI), Ayala Corporation’s Saludo sa Serbisyo Program, and XUR Homes Realty and 8990 Holdings Inc. (DECA Homes). Trustee Police Lieutenant General Edgar Alan O. Okubo, General Emmanuel T. Bautista AFP (Ret.), and other representatives also joined the activity.
According to PGen Torre, inviting representatives from partner agencies in the anticipated event aimed to provide PNP personnel and their families with convenient, on-site access to essential government services–right at their workplace. Among the services offered were passport and driver’s license renewals, ID processing, civil document requests, housing assistance, and employment services.

“We understand that our work often keeps us away from our families and demands so much time and energy. That is why we requested that the government services be brought to us here, where we work and where we serve…This initiative reflects our vision of a more efficient, responsive, and people-centered PNP not only in policing but also in caring for our own,” said PGen Torre.
One of the highlights of the program was PGen Torre’s real-time demonstration of the 5-minute response time strategy, particularly on how to make emergency calls by dialing 911–proving the functionality and effectiveness of intelligence-driven policing. In participation, representatives from various government and private partner agencies were invited to try calling the hotline, with their calls promptly connected to frontline responders.

The PNP Chief lauded Police Major General Roderick Augustus Alba, Director for Police Community Relations; and Police Brigadier General Marvin Joe C. Saro, Director of the Police Community Affairs and Development Group, whose essential roles were key to the success of the event.
Overall, the event was a testament to PNP’s commitment in uplifting the well-being of its personnel and their families, while strengthening partnerships and collaboration with different government and private sectors. “Kapag maayos ang kalagayan ng ating pamilya, mas epektibo tayo sa ating mga tungkulin,” said PNP Chief, emphasizing the crucial role that family support plays in the overall effectiveness and morale of the police force.
