In a significant anti-drugs operation, the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of Police Colonel Relly B. Arnedo, successfully seized over Php1.2 million worth of marijuana and arrested two individuals in Guiguinto, Bulacan. The operation took place on Sunday, July 28, in Barangay Sta. Rita.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Jowilouwie Bilaro, Chief of the Guiguinto Municipal Police Station, identified the arrested suspects as aliases “Makmak” and “Bry.” Both suspects were residents of Barangay Granados, GMA, Cavite. The authorities confiscated 10,000 grams of marijuana from the suspects during the operation.
The suspects are now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended by Republic Act 10640. They are currently detained at the Guiguinto Municipal Police Station, where they are undergoing documentation and proper legal procedures.
Police Colonel Rely B. Arnedo emphasized that the Bulacan PNP remains steadfast in its efforts to combat illegal drug activities within the province.
