PNP Summer Sports Training and Recreational Program 2025
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”– Proverbs 22:6
Sports participation plays a significant role in the holistic development of children and youth as sports are not just about physical health; they also promote mental well-being. The benefits extend beyond the physical aspect helping children develop social interaction skills, critical thinking, and logical reasoning. Training children in their early years to engage in sports and participate in activities that promote healthy habits is one of the most valuable lifelong lessons we can impart to them.

On May 14, 2025, the Philippine National Police (PNP) under the leadership of Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, PNP Chief, held the launching of the 2025 PNP Summer Sports Training and Recreational Program at the PNP Multi-Purpose Center in Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City. Held annually at the PNP National Headquarters, the program aims to provide avenues for children and youth to enhance physical fitness, mental resilience, and creative expression by fostering camaraderie and discipline.

This year’s summer program offers various physical activities and competitions, including martial arts such as judo, arnis, and taekwando; individual and team sports such as basketball, volleyball, swimming, badminton and chess; as well as performing arts, including tutorials in modern dance and select musical instruments.
The event was personally led by the PNP Chief, himself, together with various Senior PNP Officials from the Personnel Staff and Directorial Staff, as well as from the National Support Units, who all joined the children and other participants during the kick-off of the training program.

Facilitated by the PNP Headquarters Support Service (HSS) through its Special Support Unit (SSU), the PNP Coaches will spearhead the said sports training in the coming weeks, welcoming kids from Quezon City and neighboring areas across Metro Manila.

This initiative solidifies the Nation’s Peacekeeper’s commitment in nurturing the youth to be healthy and sports-minded individuals, honing them to become well-rounded citizens ready and able to contribute in nation-building.
