PRO6 Enhances Operational Capabilities with Php 16.9 Million in NewEquipment

The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) under the leadership of PBGen Jack L. Wanky, regional director, had taken a significant step to enhance the operational capabilities of its subordinate units by distributing various equipment and assets worth approximately Php16.9 million.

The equipment had been procured through the Congress-Initiated Changes Adjustments (CICA) under the Fiscal Year 2023 budget which had been handed over to Provincial and City Police Offices. The distribution had taken place on August 22, 2024, at Camp Gen Martin Teofilo B Delgado, Fort San Pedro in Iloilo City.


The newly issued PNP equipment had included a different range designed to support various patrolling operational need.

Among the distributed items were three units of Light Transport Vehicles (Toyota Innova); five units of Patrol Jeep 4×2 (Toyota Hilux) Single Cab; 31 units of Dirt Bikes (Honda 150cc) Light Motorcycles; 203 pieces of tires; and 5,000 drug testing kits.

Additionally, the Antique Police Provincial Office received specialized equipment under CICA FY 2023, including two units of brand-new vans (Nissan NV350); three units of heavy motorcycles (Kawasaki Versys); two units of Dirt Bikes (Honda 150cc) Light Motorcycles; 22 units of spy cameras; 16 desktop computers; 13 laptops; five indoor WiFi access points; four units of night vision goggles; three units of solar panels; two drones (DJI Mavic Air PRO3); one DSLR camera; one video camera; and one multimedia projector (Acer).


In the speech of Police Brigadier General Jack L Wanky, he had expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Philippine National Police and to President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. for their support and provision of these valuable assets.

“These equipment and assets were from the taxes of our fellow citizens, so let us use these judiciously. These will greatly contribute to enhance our capabilities in delivering better and faster services to the people of Western Visayas,” he added.
The newly acquired equipment will undoubtedly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of police operations across Western Visayas.

This initiative reflects the commitment of PNP to ensure that its units are well-equipped to maintain peace and order, showcasing the organization’s dedication to serving the community and improving public safety.
